Yuanne's introduction

With over 25 years of expertise in partnerships, strategic sales, integrated media, and team leadership across global markets and diverse industries (from FMCG, healthcare to energy management), I combine business acumen with a passion for sustainability. I help marketing and advertising technology departments leverage data-driven strategies to reduce Scope 3 carbon emissions in advertising while driving growth.

In my free time, I dedicate myself to volunteering and sharing the practice of yoga. As a certified Hatha Yoga teacher, I advocate mindful breathing and clinical yoga to promote balance and wellness. Rooted in the principles of mindfulness and ahimsa (non-violence), I inspire eco-conscious living, harmonizing personal wellness with planetary health to create a sustainable, balanced future.

Top 3 pieces of advice to The Matcha Initiative (TMI) users ?
  • Openness. Diverse backgrounds and experiences create value and open doors for new ideas and possibilities.
  • Generosity. A wealth and breadth of knowledge exchange among like-minded people brings more resources to everyone for the greater good.
  • All aims can be realized with a compassionate heart.
How could you help TMI users ?

I would love to engage in Yoga Wellness programs and mentoring for corporate or family businesses.

I would also love to help out with advertising-marketing-research related initiatives, as well as administrative and operational setup for new start-ups.

I am happy to utilize volunteer opportunities to learn new skills to transition towards the sustainability sector.

Expertise in the following
What brought you to sustainability?

For me, yoga and sustainability are deeply interconnected. The principles of mindfulness, interconnectedness, and ahimsa (non-violence) extend beyond the mat — they inspire how we treat the Earth and live in harmony with nature. Practising yoga outdoors reminds us of our role as stewards of the planet, deepening our appreciation for its beauty while encouraging mindful, eco-conscious choices like reducing waste and living more intentionally.

By combining my love for yoga and sustainability, I hope to inspire others to slow down, reconnect with themselves, as well as nurture the planet in small yet meaningful ways. Together, we can create a world where personal wellness and planetary health are in balance. I am at a pivotal point in my life, eager to transition into a career in the sustainability sector. I am driven to align my professional path with my passion for sustainability, seeking deeper meaning and purpose in my work. Joining TMI marks the first step in this journey where I look forward to expanding my knowledge, engaging in meaningful exchanges, and collaborating with like-minded individuals to make a positive impact.

Which sustainable actions are you in charge of or have you implemented in your organisation?

I have been involved in corporate wellness initiatives, such as encouraging yoga breathing for mental health. I have also been championing green office practices. For example, I set up digital tools to go paperless and trained senior staff to adopt them, bringing efficiency, transparency and knowledge-sharing to foster greater teamwork.

Which challenges did you meet and how did you overcome them?

In the fast-paced advertising technology world, long and stressful working hours often leave little time for exercise, relaxation or rejuvenation. To combat this, I teach simple yoga stretches and breathing techniques to help individuals pause, slow down, and recharge. In just 15 minutes, these practices can restore harmony to the body and mind.

What are you most proud of?

Introducing green office practices such as reducing single-use plastics and adopting digital tools to go paperless has been rewarding, especially in guiding senior staff to embrace these changes.

By dedicating my time to volunteering and fundraising through Yoga Wellness programs for a non-profit, I have also been able to make a meaningful impact on individuals and the community. Practicing mindfulness and compassion daily reinforces my belief in the power of positive change and inner peace for the self and others.
