Expertise
What brought you to sustainability?

I have always been fascinated by the intricate balance of nature and the importance of preserving it for future generations. Growing up, I was surrounded by beautiful landscapes and ecosystems, which instilled in me a deep respect for the environment. As I learned more about the challenges our planet faces, such as climate change and biodiversity loss, I felt compelled to take action. Sustainability offers a pathway to address these issues while creating a better world for all living beings. It's a journey that aligns with my values and passion for making a positive impact on the planet.

Which sustainable actions are you in charge of or have you implemented in your organisation?

At Green in Future, we work to inspire and empower individuals and businesses to adopt sustainable practices and contribute to a greener future by:

  • utilizing storytelling and cutting-edge media techniques to raise awareness about environmental issues, showcase success stories, and provide actionable steps for positive change.
  • Aiming to drive widespread adoption of sustainable lifestyles and practices, influencing both public perception and corporate behavior towards a more sustainable future.

On a team level, with my colleagues, we focus on wasting less and refusing single use plastic.

Which challenges did you meet and how did you overcome them?

One challenge I often encounter is the resistance to change, particularly from individuals or organizations reluctant to adopt sustainable practices due to perceived costs or inconvenience.

To overcome this, I focus on highlighting the long-term benefits of sustainability, such as cost savings, brand reputation enhancement, and environmental stewardship. I provide concrete examples and case studies to demonstrate the tangible impact that sustainable initiatives can have on both the bottom line and the planet.

Additionally, I prioritize collaboration and engagement, working closely with stakeholders to co-create solutions that address their specific needs and concerns while advancing sustainability goals.

By fostering a sense of ownership and collective responsibility, I help overcome resistance and build momentum for positive change.

What are you most proud of?

I'm most proud of the meaningful impact I've been able to make in promoting sustainability and driving positive change. Whether it's through implementing eco-friendly practices in businesses, raising awareness about environmental issues through media campaigns, or inspiring individuals to adopt sustainable lifestyles, knowing that my efforts contribute to a healthier planet gives me a sense of fulfillment.

Seeing tangible results, such as reduced carbon emissions, increased renewable energy adoption, or improved conservation efforts, reinforces my commitment to this important cause and motivates me to continue striving for a greener future.
