I am a sustainability and social impact practitioner with over 10 years of experience across Southeast Asia, with a focus on stakeholder engagement, partnerships, and community-focused initiatives.

My background is primarily in the technology sector, where I have led regional initiatives across Asia Pacific, working across diverse markets and business units to translate global priorities into local, actionable approaches.

I am particularly interested in the social aspects of sustainability, including community engagement, inclusive access, and responsible business practices. I am also GRI-certified and have completed the Business Sustainability Management course at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, further strengthening my foundation in sustainability.

  • Start by listening to your stakeholders; understanding the perspectives of employees, communities, and partners helps ensure that sustainability efforts are relevant and meaningful.
  • Start small and build from there; You don’t need a perfect strategy to begin. Pilot projects can be a good way to learn and build momentum.
  • Connect sustainability to business priorities; It’s easier to sustain impact when initiatives are aligned with what the business is trying to achieve.

What brought you to sustainability?

My journey into sustainability started with a desire to create meaningful impact through my work.

While working in the corporate sector, I saw firsthand how businesses can play a powerful role in addressing social challenges—whether through responsible practices, inclusive initiatives, or partnerships with communities.

Over time, I became increasingly drawn to the human side of sustainability—ensuring that growth is inclusive, ethical, and benefits not just the business, but also the people connected to it.

Which sustainable actions are you in charge of or have you implemented in your organisation?

I have led regional initiatives and a team across Asia Pacific at scale, with a strong focus on aligning stakeholders across diverse markets and business units.

In my role, I translated global priorities into regional and local contexts, navigating differences across countries and ensuring they were relevant and actionable on the ground.

I worked across business and community stakeholders, helping bridge perspectives and support initiatives that contributed to positive social outcomes.

This experience has shaped my interest in sustainability, particularly in how organizations can integrate social impact into business practices in a practical and meaningful way.

Which challenges did you meet and how did you overcome them?

One of the key challenges has been navigating differing priorities across global, regional, and local stakeholders, as well as between business and community perspectives.

I addressed this by building alignment through clear communication, finding common ground, and translating complex priorities into practical approaches that stakeholders could relate to.

Working across diverse markets also required adaptability and sensitivity to local contexts, which I developed over time through close collaboration and continuous learning.

What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of being able to bring together different stakeholders—across markets, functions, and perspectives—and finding ways to move forward in a practical and collaborative way.

More broadly, I value contributing to work that helps organizations think beyond short-term goals and consider how they can create more inclusive and meaningful impact over time.
