Lucie's Introduction

I’m Lucie, mother of 2 Book lovers, 2 and 5 years old.

I have 10+ years experience in Marketing, Digital and ecommerce in industries such as Skincare, Watches & Jewelry and Fashion; in international companies as well as start-ups. I am looking today to use my skills for projects that make sense, having social and/or environmental positive impacts.

I’m convinced about sustainable ways of doing business and believe in the power of circular economy: many objects do not need to be owned but have their value in the usage we make of them. Following this conviction and a growing interest in Education, I founded my first start-up in Dubai in 2023, Sharingstories.me, a multicultural Kids Library delivered home.

What brought you to sustainability?

Sustainability is a way of acting that anchor us in our environment with respect. Last decades, and actual way of living and working, often disconnected us from present time and direct surroundings.

I feel today the need to reconnect with a self that is a human being on Earth, acting with more respect, understanding the impact we have on our surroundings.

Which sustainable actions are you in charge of or have you implemented in your organisation?

I founded a booklovers community, collecting, renting and donating books in different languages for kids from 0 to 12year old in Dubai with Sharingstories.me.

I'm interested to be a fresker and spend some time to raise awareness around me and think collaboratively to solutions to implement.

Which challenges did you meet and how did you overcome them?

Challenges are daily matters, that required resilience, patience and positivity to always find a problem-solving approach to it! Not easy one, but never hesitate to look for help around you! And that's also connected to my interest to The Matcha Initiative and how the group can help you overcome those challenges.

What are you most proud of?

From a need, an idea, I succeed to have clients, that are happy, loyal and proved me that I can have a positive impact at my scale!

It has been a joy to use my digital, Ecommerce and marketing skills to build the project and create an experience that value education and circulate economy.
