My aspiration is to guide organisations through purpose driven systematic change, towards sustainable and prosperous future. During my career I have helped number of organisations to change their ways of working and adopt agile mindset, principles and practices.

I am supporting managers to embrace change and build productive workplace, while fostering caring, empathetic, and inclusive work culture.

What brought you to sustainability?

I have a background in electrical engineering and what feels like eons of experience in the energy sector, mostly in consulting. Throughout my career I have seen the sector’s transition in all parts of the value chain. Extremely slow at first, getting progressively more dynamic as we are realizing that change is inevitable.

I believe that we all need to join the fight towards sustainable future, as individuals or as representatives of our organizations.

Which sustainable actions are you in charge of or have you implemented in your organisation?

I am helping organizations to change their ways of working and adopt agile mindset, principles and practices. I believe that Agile is the approach to be used for implementing sustainable practices #agileforsustainability.

Which challenges did you meet and how did you overcome them?

Changing ways of working is not easy. It is crucial to get everyone on board, engage the enthusiasts in the organization and get their support in promoting the change and their benefits. Share success stories as well as lessons learned.

What are you most proud of?

Successful agile transformations, empowering people to challenge current practices and suggest better and more sustainable approach.

What would be your top 3 pieces of advice to the Matcha Initiative users?
  • Create a common purpose and engage your people. Empower them to challenge current practices.
  • Do not get overwhelmed. Take it one step at a time. Changes might be slow or minor at first, but as your organization gets better understanding you can accelerate. Also, you are not alone. Join industry coalitions to share learnings.
  • Challenges are expected and a temporary dip in performance should be acceptable, however any organization needs to be profitable.
