I seek to inspire individuals and catalyse capital to mitigate climate change. I write about sustainability for media, non-profits and blogs. I educate people via webinars, Climate Fresk and Deep Time Walks. I support start-ups as an advisor and as part of angel networks. And I serve on non-profit boards.
The importance of sustainability hit home when I saw air quality drop, glaciers disappear and previously-unimaginable heat waves. I got involved when I co-founded the Jane Goodall Institute in Singapore and served on the boards for over a decade and gradually started to do more. When the pandemic reduced my travel from over 30% to about zero, I decided to shift from my previous focus as a banker and banking consultant to sustainability, to play a part in solving the most important issue of our time. I've leveraged my experience with writing, training, finance and non-profits to lead or support sustainability initiatives.
Waste and energy usage reduction. Shifting from travel to webinars and digital engagement.
Shifting people from talk to action is the biggest challenge. I focus on personal actions and how sustainable activities provide financial, health or other benefits for individuals and companies.
Supporting sustainability-focused start-ups that are changing the world.
