I have worked across multiple sectors in sustainability, but what has always driven me is trying to make tangible and real impacts. The planet and its inhabitants are waiting for action, and this is what motivates and drives me.
By supporting, encouraging and helping wherever I can.
My love of animals ... I initially wanted to be a zookeeper, vet or Tarzan! I was not smart enough to be a vet and the other two obviously did not happen, but this led me into studying Environmental Conservation and Management at university in England when this area of study was not particularly popular.
Previously I have led on decarbonisation strategies, awareness campaigns, ISO 14001 (environmental management system) and ESG indices (predominantly CDP). Additionally, I have led and worked on annual reports, GHG emission inventories and the roll out of 3 environmental reporting systems for organisations globally.
Internal stakeholder management (convincing the unconvinced), meeting budget deadlines and many more. Ultimately, I often look at things as leading people on an exploratory journey to get to the place that I would like them to be at in terms of understanding, support and backing,
My two children, but beyond that being adaptable, willing to learn and never losing my passion.
